Why should I Join
Our modern comfortable clubhouse constructed in 2002 provides a relaxing environment to enjoy the beautiful countryside and the excellent sailing conditions. Learn at your leisure with the club’s own fleet of boats and RYA Recognised Training Centre.
RYA Training Centre
The RYA Trainning Centre is supported by Club members to provide subsidised training to club members. Dinghy Level 1 & 2, Windsurfing START and Intermediate, Powerboat L2 and Safety Boat are provided.
RVSC provides excellent conditions for windsurfing. The elevated position provides strong winds and flat water. Take advantage of the early planing capabilities of modern equipment during the summer force 2’s. Our members are on the water in most conditions.

Full Racing Programme
Club racing encourages members to hone their sailing skills in a competitive environment. Racing is a casual, fun affair to encourage sailors of all skill levels to take part and enjoy the sport. Fellow members are encouraging and helpful so get involved and see how you do. “It’s not the winning it’s the taking part that counts”.
The club has an excellent range of boats and windsurfers for members to hire.
Friendly and Welcoming
Benefitting from a significant grant from Sport England and the Lottery Fund, the club is now housed in a stylish and modern building which provides a good atmosphere and superb facilities to club members.
A range of social sailing activities are put on throughout the year.
A vibrant Ops N Tops sailing club held through the summer months for members children to practice their skills in all conditions, overseen by club members, enable parents and children alike to get involved.
***Exciting News*** RVSC have been accepted onto the RYA “OnBoard” scheme for the coming season, providing additional opportunities to our Junior Members.

Bring your children to Ops N Tops
Dinghy Level 1 & 2 (L1, L2)
A two stage course structure to get you confident in your own or club boat. Onwater and onland activities and classroom instruction to tell you all you need to get active in sailing.
A single 2 day course to get you on the water and sailing confidently on all points of sailing, incorporating onland simulator and onwater demonstration and practise. Classroom instruction provides all you need to take to the water.
Powerboat Level 2 (L2)
A 2 day structured course to get you safely into powerboating, covering preparation, launching, various onwater activity and classroom instruction.
The RYA internationally renowned training schemes steer 250,000 yacht sailors, powerboaters, small craft leisure boaters, windsurfers and canal boaters towards confident and successful boating every year.
